This mini unit will explicitly step students through using key comprehension strategies to understand a wordless picture book. This unit uses the text ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker and gives students the opportunity to explore and analyse the rich illustrations and complex story plot. Students will also use drama and art to connect with the ideas in the book. These lessons can also be completed as a stand alone lesson and with another text of choice.
